The life of Job

Many believers like to say, well i believe in Jesus so I can ask anything in His name it it will be done. Not necessarily. When you’re a disobedient Christian, meaning you live a life of disobedience towards the commands of Christ, you will not have the faith to ask God anything in His name and thus you will not move many mountains resulting in a defeated Christian life.  After all the word says in 1 John 3:21 “Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God”.

The solution: OBEY Jesus because you love Him. Love should be your motivation to obeying Christ commands: that is, to love your neighbor and love God. Now these two commands have a greater meaning or a greater implication so research what they mean (1 Corith 13, Romans 13:9, Great commission, Galatians 5). Jesus says in John 14:12-15 and I paraphrase “that a person will do greater works than Jesus because He goes unto the Father, then He goes on to say and WHATEVER YOU SHALL ASK IN MY NAME I WILL DO THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON, THEN HE SAYS IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS”. In fact the entire chapter is talking about keeping the commands of Christ (not to be confused with the commands of Moses).

So, as you begin to keep the commands of Christ, you begin to pray more out of His will and see more things come to past. If you don’t do these things then read Isaiah 1:19-20.

When the Lord makes a promise, He makes a promise that He is both willing and able to fulfill. The only missing ingredient to the Lords promise is YOUR faith.

Recall what the word says about Mary (the mother of Jesus) in Luke 1:45 it says “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her form the Lord”. The angel Gabriel had appeared unto Mary and told her that she would conceive a child even though she was a virgin. Mary actually believed the words of the Lord which came from the angel and so it was written of her that she would be blessed for her belief, that the Lord would perform His promise. But what happened when Gabriel appeared unto Zacharias and told him his wife would bare a son? Zacharias did not believe the word of God and focused more on his natural limitations whereby he said in Luke 1:18 “….I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years”. Since Zacharias did not believe the word of God he was made dumb for a season.

God must to honor His written word. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness He didn’t respond with “well God just said I was the His beloved Son so I rebuke you Satan”. He responded with it is WRITTEN. The written word must be fulfilled. Numbers 14:28 says “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you”. Speaking the written word in faith in the face of temptation, sickness, or disease is a form of warfare. After all,Gods written word is sharper than any two-edged sword. Paul also states in Ephesians 6:17 that the word of God is the sword of the Spirit. And just before that he says take the shield of FAITH. Thus faith + the word of God = successful warfare.

Whats my conclusion here? I’m saying that if you are sick, if you are diseased, if you are trusting God for break through in a situation understand that sometimes theres a time period between the Promise of God, your belief in the Word + plus your declaration of the Word and the actual performance of the word. So if you’re thinking about giving up, go back to what Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek him”. The word diligent means: constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. Remember, Jesus wasn’t just tempted once then He got the victory He was at all points tempted.

Because we believe that sin was entirely dealt with THROUGH the cross meaning that one must completely surrender (daily for the rest of ones life) to Christ ones body, soul, and spirit. And “IF” a believer sins he or she will grace available 1 John 2:1. But to those who “practice sin” they are outside of Christ (1 John 3:9) and not trusting in the finished work of the cross, despising the grace of God we believe that there are sowing and reaping consequences to this type of lifestyle Galatians 6:7-8.

So how does this view of sin and grace relate to people getting sick especially believers who know to do good (James 4:17)?

Jesus spoke in Mark 7:20 “That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders. All of these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Paul speaks in Hebrews 12:15 “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled”.

Lets look at the greek word defile mean?

(v. t.) To injure in purity of character; to corrupt.
(v. t.) To soil or sully; to tarnish, as reputation; to taint.
(v. i.) To march off in a line, file by file; to file off.
(v. t.) To make ceremonially unclean; to pollute.

So when we allow these types of things (envy, murder, bitterness) reign in our mortal body we become corrupt or made unclean. It is only through repentance that we are washed anew. John says in 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. So if you are practicing these things, go back to your first love, Jesus Christ and confess and say Im sorry I know what Im doing is wrong forgive me. This renounces your ties the enemy and will allow you to be free of the sickness tied to the sin.

Remember all you need is one scripture to declare:

Matthew 8:16-17

When the even was come, they brought unto JESUS CHRIST many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the[their cancer, back issues] spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick [with cancer, back issues]:

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself [Jesus Christ] took our [John Does’s] infirmities [back issues], and bare our [his cancer] sicknesses.

I often tell people who I pray for to declare the word of God over themselves consistently and by faith believe that if they do that, they’ll receive a miracle healing.  Since most people I tell to do this, either give up or dont take my word to heart, I don’t hear back many success stories but I have heard back a few success stories of Christians who have declared healing scripture over their body consistently and in faith and have experience healing in their body as a result.

In Matthew chapter 9 verse 18 it talks about a man who was a ruler who came up to Jesus and worshiped him and told Jesus that his daughter was dead but that if Jesus cam and laid his hand upon her, she would live. It goes on to say in verse 25  He went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. Also in verse 21 a women who had an issue of blood for twelve years said within herself, If I may touch his garment, I shall be whole. Jesus said to her, daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.

These are two cases in which declarations were made and miracles followed. In the first case, the man made a declaration saying, if you lay your hand upon my daughter she’ll live. And what did Jesus do, laid his hand upon her and she lived. We see the same thing happening with the lady who had an issue of blood. Only she made a declaration in her heart saying, if I touch the hem of his garment, I’ll be healed. So the declaration was made in her heart, and Jesus told her what healed her. He said, Daughter be of good comfort, “your faith” has made thee whole. What type of faith did she exhibit? The same kind the ruler exhibited, that is, making a faith based declaration.

I say all this to say that, if you have been prayed over but have not experienced a miracle, then declare one healing scripture over yourself over and over and over no matter how long it takes. And if you believe the word of God enough to the point where as soon as you experience a symptom of pain or sickness, the first thing that comes of your mouth is not “ouch” its the word of God, then you shall be made whole.

Many of us would like to see miracles or instant answers to every question that we present to God. But God doesn’t work the same way we do. God is not a God of haste. Jesus is a God of order, of patience, of hope and of faith.

So whats the point Im making here? Many believers are believing God for healing, financial break- through, homes, husbands, wives and the list goes on and get frustrated for not seeing manifestations within a reasonable amount of time. But understand that God does not slack concerning His promises. Take father Abraham who didn’t live to see His promise (to be father of many nations). His promise came 400 years later and only after much tribulation (Egyptian slavery, wars etc). Hebrews 6:11-12 says “And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” So faith + patience = inheriting the promises of God. Look its right there in Hebrews 6:15 “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise”

Today many believers are believing for healing in their body. Here are some of the things you should be doing in order to realize divine healing in your body just in case you didn’t get that instant miracle.1) Declare the promises of God. The bible says in Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it” 2) Have faith (don’t focus on the symptoms or whats not done) and give Glory to God knowing that He is able to do that which He promises. Romans 4:19 “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” 3) Simply wait on the promise. Acts 1:4 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, BUT WAIT FOR THE PROMISE of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me”.

In short, so now we know what we need to do in order to realize the promises of God in our lives. The question remains, why does God make us wait? Well, why do mothers say no to their children every time they ask for ice cream before dinner? LOL! on a serious note, read James 1:2 and find out. I’ll leave you all with these words from the book of Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”

What happens when a farmer plants seeds into fertile grown then waters those seeds? Well after a certain amount of time the farmer begins to look for the harvest so that he can gather what he has sown. Jesus said in Mark 4:26 “And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth. But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it”. So whenever someone lays hands on the sick and speaks the word of God into that person (if have faith grain mustard seed speak to mountain….) both persons should begin to look for the harvest, that is, expect the manifestation of healing in that persons body.

The bible declares in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. And in Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it”. So when you send the word of the Lord out, understand that the word of the Lord will never return back unto Him void and it will accomplish that which it sent out. The prophet Ezekiel was commanded of the Lord in Ezekiel 37 to prophesy over bones. The bones came together, the flesh and the skin covered the bones then finally breathe came back onto the bodies!! Wow!!!

Where am I going with all of this? I am trying to help you understand that when you prophesy or command as the Lord has commanded He will back you up. Your words are not in vain if you mix them with a little faith. The Lord is the one doing all the work all you have to do is speak it and then expect it, thus look for the harvest. The word of God is like a seed, you plant the seed then the Lord will give you a harvest. But God needs your voice and your faith to do it!!!!!! 1 Corinthians 3:7-9 states plainly “So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. some plant seeds some water God provide increase” The part where it says “we are labors together with God” is key!! God wants to show Himself mighty through us!! So speak the word, believe and LOOK for the harvest.

Every once in a while a believer will pray for the sick and nothing seems to be happening. After several commands of “GO…IN JESUS NAME” the person responds with a mere “sorry…there is no change”. I believe that there is a root issue that God wants to deal with AT THAT TIME before He manifest the healing. Not to say that God doesn’t want to heal them or He is using this sickness to teach them, but He’d rather they address the issue before He manifest the healing (Note: most Christians will pray for physical healing and ignore soul issues which is probably why God prefers to deal with soul issues first before the physical healing). After all, III John 1:2 says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. So God wants our soul to prosper and our health to proper. No point in being healed of heart disease if you’re always afraid to go to bed at night because of the spirit of fear. Of course there are those who will disagree with me. They might say, well Jesus didn’t do that. The closes thing Jesus did to that was say “… go and sin no more less a worse thing happen to you” AFTER He healed someone. They also might put forth that the goodness of God leads man to repentance.

Those who propose these arguments are overlooking a few key points. Jesus demonstrated God’s love despite mans sin. So everything Jesus did had no condition on it whatsoever because God wanted to show man His grace and love in the face of man’s sin (Romans 5:20). Now times are different, God requires every man everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). So essentially, God demonstrated His goodness at the cross, now the only to do now is to REPENT. Furthermore, God’s goodness isn’t the only thing that leads man to repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10 says “For GODLY SORROW WORKETH REPENTANCE to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death”. Hence, telling a person, “hey, you should forgive that person who molested you” is for that victims salvation (Matthew 6:15, Mark 11:26) and well-being even though it might make them upset or sorrowful to do so. Now some might say, well you don’t have to forgive in order to go to heaven, all you have to do is “believe” (see my note John 3:16 explained) and you’ll go to heaven regardless. To those I say, Judas Iscariot believed in Jesus, you think he went to heaven?

Out of all the healing training programs I’ve studied, none of these taught me how to really deal with the doubt. They all simply said, don’t doubt. But how do you do this?

The bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.  James 1:6 – 8 “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways”. So whats all this mean? What does it mean to have rock solid faith? How do you achieve such a thing? The answer is simple, get rid of your doubt!!!

Okay, okay, you’re a little upset with me now right? You’re wondering how do I get rid of my doubt? I mean its not every day you see tumors shrinking at the sound of …IN JESUS NAME!! You obviously need a whole lotta faith to believe that even a pimple would shrink and disappear at the sound  a believer uttering  “In Jesus name”. The bible defines faith in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. Lets suppose that you were told to drive a car with no engine. Getting in the car and trying to start it would be faith. Its simply taking God at his word despite what the laws of physics, history, economics, or medicine have to say about the situation in front of you.

Jesus said in Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”. So if you believe then all things are possible for you because you’re in Christ and you’re doing the will of God. Your problem is that you still keep doubting. The first thing to do is to become childlike. All things are possible to children, literally they’ll believe anything like a some big jolly old guy goes around in a big red suit every Christmas eve…ah nevermind. Become like a child!! The second thing you need to do is fight off doubt. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” So when that little thought that comes in your mind says, “she’s still in pain, or that cancer is still there, how can an amputee grow an arm” you simply respond to that thought by saying  in your mind “all the pain is gone in Jesus name, that cancer has left in Jesus name, that amputees arm is growing right now in Jesus name”.

Ephesians 1:19-22 “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church”. Colossians 1:16-17 says “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist”. Taken together in order to deal with doubt you must first become childlike an know that all things are possible to him that believes. One must bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ — oh no you don’t bad thought!!!  Furthermore know that Jesus is the head of every type of principality, power and ANYTHING THAT HAS A NAME (knowing is still childlike since children believe that everything mommy says is true). Does cancer have a name? Lastly, all things were created BY HIM AND FOR HIM. So EVERY creature was created by Him and for His purposes. And we know that all things have their being in Him. So cancer has no being without Jesus. Jesus is a good God, do you think His purpose is to allow that cancer to have its being in a person? No!  So the spirit of cancer is there for Church to kick it out, hence creation serving His purpose.
